Spook-tastic Halloween Display Competition in aid of RABI
BSPB have just organised and completed our ‘Spook-tastic’ Charity event for October, a Halloween Display Competition, in aid of RABI (Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution) which provides support to the farming community in the way of guidance, financial support and practical care.
Businesses on the Lancaster Way business park were invited to take part and create displays using three pumpkins, which were kindly been donated by one of our member companies, C N Seeds, who breed pumpkins. Photos were to be submitted to the office for judging on the 1st November. Some fabulous photos of displays were received, incorporating branding, scary props and even a delicious looking cake!
Entries were judged by ex-MP Sir James Paice, & Lady Ava Paice. We are very happy to announce the winners, who are to receive prizes kindly donated by the Apex Coffee Shop, Enhance Dental and G & J Peck Ltd.
In first place are Platinum Properties winning a food hamper donated by BSPB, in second place are Malco Freight, winning an Oral B electric toothbrush from Enhance Dental, in third place are Enhance Dental winning a £25.00 Apex gift voucher from the Apex Coffee Shop and in fourth place are Grovemere winning gardening gloves, fork, trowel & tub from G & J Peck Ltd
The final amount raised was £740. We are very happy and proud to support the farming community, who we speak with daily and hope that the donations will make a difference.
Whilst we didn’t enter the competition, we did create a display featuring the not so scary benefits of plant breeding!
